Sebastián Valenzuela Participated in ‘Trust and Resilience in the Global Information Environment

Sebastián Valenzuela, principal investigator at NUDOS and scientific director of IPIE, participated in the event ‘Trust and Resilience in the Global Information Environment’, organized by IPIE during the United Nations General Assembly.

On September 24, 2024, Valenzuela presented the results of the 2024 Expert Survey, which explored key trends in the global information environment. This event brought together international experts to discuss topics such as trust in information during election times, artificial intelligence, and climate challenges. Additionally, it served as a platform for the launch of a new scientific panel on child protection and social media.

Sebastián Valenzuela commented that “the event allowed me to present the Global Survey of experts on information issues, generating discussions with academics and civil society organizations about disinformation, data protection, and digital rights. These meetings help us refine the research agenda of IPIE and highlight the work we do at NUDOS.”
