This Wednesday begins the twelfth version of the Latin American Congress of Political Science (ALACIP) and two of our researchers will be present at the regional event, which this year is entitled “Latin America as an actor in the global geopolitical reconfiguration”.

Sergio Toro, senior researcher of the Millennium Nucleus on Digital Inequalities and Opportunities (NUDOS) and the Millennium Institute Foundation of Data (IMFD), together with Macarena Valenzuela, junior researcher of NUDOS; will participate in the panel Electoral Processes and Electoral Bodies, Political Participation, Legislative and Social Dynamics in Chile: Reflections from the Social Outburst.

Sergio (Universidad Mayor) will present on “Sanders, Bolsonaro and Boric: New model to estimate ideology and coherence of volatile legislators” with Lucas Valenzuela (Instituto Milenio de Fundamento de los Datos) and Juan Reutter (Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile).

Macarena presents on “Ideology from Moral Foundations: Evidence from Chilean Congressional Speeches during the Social Outbreak” with Juan Reutter (Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile).
