Raimundo Frei us assistant professor of Sociology at the Diego Portales University (UDP). He received his PhD in Sociology from the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and his MA in Philosophy from Universidad de Chile. He is currently director of the postgraduate unit of the Faculty of Social Sciences and History at the UDP and adjunct researcher at the Millennium Nucleus on Digital Inequalities and Opportunities (NUDOS). For more than ten years he was a researcher at the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), where he wrote reports on human development, inequality and democracy. He has recently published on issues of memory, narratives and generations in Chile and Argentina, as well as on the symbolic and experiential dimension of inequality. His FONDECYT project deals on digital interactions and the subjective effect of looking at ourselves through social media.
